EcoStar synthetic roof tile has a life expectancy of over 50 years with proper installation. Given that our 50-year warranty is in effect for the vast majority of that time, customers enjoy coverage for their roof for most, if not all, of its service life.
EcoStar synthetic roofing tile is made from a composite polymer containing up to 80% upcycled materials. This sustainable, highly durable composite withstands extreme temperatures and direct UV light exposure without cracking, degrading, or fading.
EcoStar synthetic roofing products are designed to streamline and simplify the installation process, but to achieve Gold Star certification, contractors must be trained and approved and use approved materials. Here is a list of certified products required for Gold-Star-certified installations.
The weight per bundle of our synthetic tile varies by tile type and whether they are class A or class C fire-resistant. For instance, our synthetic Niagara shake weighs approximately 32 lbs per bundle. On average, our synthetic tile weighs between 19 and 36 lbs per bundle.
