Project 76

St. Kateri Tekakwitha, designed by Cram and Ferguson Architects, is a Gothic-inspired church erected on the site of a 100 year old brick Gothic-style church that was destroyed by a tornado in 2012. When selecting building materials, designers had to consider the possibility of future tornadoes. The exterior is faced with local limestone and trimmed in cast stone, and EcoStar Traditional Slate 12″ tiles were selected in Black to provide a beautiful, yet durable roofing solution.

EcoStar slate is manufactured with post-industrial recycled content to create a lightweight and environmentally responsible alternative to natural slate. EcoStar tiles are proven to protect against the most extreme elements such as rain, hail, snow, fire, extreme temperature change and the sun’s UV rays.
