When the C.S. Driver Middle School in Marcellus, NY was in need of a new roof, designers approached EcoStar requesting a sustainable, environmentally-friendly product that is both durable and beautiful. Traditional Slate 12″ tiles were chosen in a custom blend of Smoke Gray, Federal Gray and Mountain Plum.
EcoStar slate is manufactured with post-industrial recycled content to create a lightweight and environmentally responsible alternative to natural slate. EcoStar tiles are proven to protect against the most extreme elements such as rain, hail, snow, fire, extreme temperature change and the sun’s UV rays.
