Green Builder® Media Announces 2016 Readers’ Choice Results

Survey Results Show Quality and Performance Continue to be Important in Brand Loyalty.

Green Builder Media recently announced its annual 2016 Readers’ Choice Award winners. Many of the top brands have put a larger emphasis on durability and connected technology as well as ramping up research and development. Quality and performance continue to be the most significant factor that influences brand loyalty with online reviews and forums making it more difficult for companies to hide behind false claims of performance. 65% of those polled said they research a brand’s “green” authenticity by using third-party sources.

“If you compare year to year, you see which brands are telling their sustainability story effectively,” says Power. “For example, BASF has made huge strides in the siding category, and Sherwin-Williams, which was hardly on the green “radar” a few years ago, is now perceived as a leading eco-friendly paint brand. This survey tells you a lot about where green professionals put their trust.”

Windows and insulation ranked number 1 and 2 as the categories that are “most influenced by green building and sustainability considerations” while GE took top honors as the brand associated most with sustainable products and environmental stewardship

  • Delta Breez – Greenest Ventilation Fan
